Tuition and Fees, School year 2011-12
Tuition is based on one 55-minute private lesson a week plus master classes scheduled over a ten month period August through May. (Summer schedule provides other more flexible options). The school year lesson plan includes 34 private lessons and 12-14 Master Classes per year. Cost for one child, including all lessons and classes, is $1800. Rate and terms options are as follows:
Absences. The schedule includes built in opportunities for make-up lessons. Students are not to come sick to their lessons as a courtesy to my immune system - please. All absences must be called in before hand to qualify for make-up lessons. "No-shows" without any notice to me will be given make-up lessons at my discretion. Other Costs. The biggest “other” costs include piano tuning, entry fees and music. Because beginners and primary level students move so quickly through lesson books (often one a month), I have found that renting them to students is cheaper for you, and allows for sampling a wider variety of music on each level - which increases sight reading fluency. Rental fees for course books is $3.00/book ($5.00 for concertos) billed upon return of the music. If you desire to purchase any rental book your child is using, just let me know. Rental books not returned will be charged full value. Sheet music is not ‘rentable’ and can only be purchased. Go to the Contract Page to fill out this year's contract
